Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with us! We're committed to getting your books to you quickly and safely.

Please read our shipping policy carefully before placing your order.

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 3–5 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays). Orders placed after 2:00 PM EST may not begin processing until the following business day.

Domestic (United States)

Expedited Shipping: 2–3 business days - $12.99

International orders

Canada & Mexico7–14 business days - $12.99

Europe10–21 business days - $18.99

Rest of World 14–30 business days - $24.99

Note: International delivery estimates may vary due to customs processing times. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities.

International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees levied by their country. These charges are not included in our shipping rates and are collected by your local customs authority at the time of delivery. We are unable to predict or control these fees. All international packages are marked with accurate customs declarations as required by law.

 

Damaged or Lost Packages

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@stillriverbooks.com with your order number and photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

If your tracking information shows "Delivered" but you have not received your package, please:

  1. Check with neighbors and any building management.

  2. Allow 2 additional business days, as carriers sometimes mark packages delivered prematurely.

  3. Contact us if the package still has not arrived and we will open a carrier investigation on your behalf.

 

Address Changes

Please ensure your shipping address is correct before completing your order. We begin processing orders quickly and cannot guarantee address changes after an order is placed. Contact us immediately at info@stillriverbooks.com if you need to update your address, and we will do our best to accommodate you.​

Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to love every book you purchase from us. If something isn't right, we're happy to help with a return or exchange.

 

Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date, provided the item meets the following conditions:

  • The book is in its original, unread condition — no bent spines, writing, highlighting, or torn pages

  • The item includes all original packaging, inserts, or bundled materials

  • You have proof of purchase (order confirmation email or order number)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Digital products, e-books, and downloadable content

  • Gift cards and store credit

  • Items marked "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase

  • Customized or personalized books

  • Items that have been damaged through customer use

 

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us at info@stillriverbooks.com with your order number and reason for return.

  2. Receive a Return Authorization (RA) number — returns sent without an RA number will not be accepted.

  3. Pack your item securely and write the RA number clearly on the outside of the package.

  4. Ship the item to the address provided in your return confirmation email.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method. We are not responsible for items lost in transit on their way back to us.

 

Return Shipping Costs

Defective, damaged, or incorrect item - FREE (prepaid label provided)

Change of mind or unwanted gift - Customer's responsibility

 

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow an additional 3–5 business days for your bank or card issuer to post the credit to your account.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective item).

  • If you used a promotional discount or coupon, your refund will reflect the amount actually paid.

  • Orders paid with store credit will be refunded as store credit.

 

Exchanges

We offer exchanges for a different edition, format, or title of equal or lesser value within 30 days of delivery.

To request an exchange:

  1. Contact us at info@stillriverbooks.com with your order number and the item you'd like instead.

  2. Ship your original item back to us using the instructions above.

  3. Once we receive and inspect the return, your replacement will be shipped within 2 business days.

If the replacement item is of greater value, you will be charged the difference. If it is of lesser value, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method.

 

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@stillriverbooks.com with:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Photos of the item and packaging (if applicable)

We will cover all return shipping costs and send a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice.

 

Late Returns

Returns requested after the 30-day window will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be eligible for store credit only. Please reach out to us and we'll do our best to find a fair solution.

Gifts

If you received an item as a gift and would like to return it, we can issue a store credit for the value of the item. The original purchaser will not be notified. Please contact us with the order number (found on the packing slip) to get started.
